Hakan Balta suffers foot injury during Istanbul derby

Hakan Balta is expected to miss Galatasaray’s clash against Istanbul Basaksehir this weekend due to an injury sustained during the Istanbul derby.
The Berlin born centre back was taken off at half time with a foot injury. Balta suffered the injury while making a tackle against Emenike just before half time. Balta was replaced by Koray Gunter in the second half.
The 31-year-old has scored one goal in 20 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions this season.
Galatasaray sit at the top of the table despite their defeat against their rivals on Sunday. The Lions take on Istanbul Basaksehir this weekend and will be looking to bounce back and maintain their lead.
