Hamzaoglu praises his players for taking Balcova game ‘seriously’ [divider]
Hamza Hamzaoğlu thanked his players following the 9-1 win over Balçova for their performance in the Turkish Cup.
Hamzaoğlu praised his players for taking the game against the PTT 3. Lig side seriously.
“The players enjoyed themselves and showed what they were capable of,” Hamzaoğlu said.
“That is what I wanted from them.
“We could not afford to underestimate Balçova going into the game and took the match very seriously.
“I have to congratulate the players, they did not look down on their opposition, they treated the match like any other.
“We need to keep playing well as a team just like we did against Balçova.
“The boys were fantastic today, the score was impressive and the goals were great.
“I just want to thank them again and wish Balçova all the best in the future.”
Galatasaray moved into first place in the Turkish Cup Group G following the win.
The Lions have won both their cup games this season, racking up 13 goals in two games while conceded just three times.
