How Galatasaray could line up against Manchester United tonight

Galatasaray manager Jan Olde Riekerink is expected to field a strong starting line-up tonight when the Lion’s take on Manchester United.

Gala fans will be waiting to see if the Portuguese winger Bruma can continue his impressive run of performances during pre-season. The likes of Muslera, Wesley Sneijder and Chedjou are also expected to start.

The Istanbul giants and United have a rich history against each other having played six competitive games which all began with a thrilling 3-3 draw at Old Trafford in the 1993 European Cup second round. The Galatasaray slogan ‘Welcome to Hell’ was coined in Istanbul following a goalless draw which knocked United out on the away goals rule.

Galatasaray probable line-up: Muslera, Linnes, Chedjou, Hakan Balta, Carole, Hamit Altıntop, Dzemaili, Bruma, Sneijder, Sinan Gümüş, Yasin Öztekin

Man United manager Jose Mourinho will be familiar with a few Galatasaray players with one name in particular standing out – Wesley Sneijder. Sneijder played under the command of Mourinho while at Inter Milan where the duo lifted the UEFA Champions League and Serie A together.
