HSV set to sell Arsenal target Tolgay Arslan in January

Hamburg are set to part company with Tolgay Arslan and Ivo Ilicevic, Marcell Jansen and Valmir Nafiu during the January transfer window.

Reports in the German press have stated that Tolgay would prefer to stay in the Bundesliga but has received offers from abroad.

Galatasaray have also been closely linked with Arslan and are reported to be preparing a pre-contract offer in January if Hamburg reject the Lions bid in January.

Arslan’s contract with Hamburg runs out at the end of the season and he will be enter to enter direct talks with other clubs if he does not renew his current deal.

Arsenal are also reported to be interested in the 24-year-old midfielder.

The Germany and Turkey U20 international moved to Hamburg from Dortmund in 2009 on a free transfer.

The hard working midfielder can represent either Turkey or Germany at international level but has vowed to play for the Crescent-Stars.

Arslan has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
