I'm not hungry for goals like Real Madrid's superstar Cristiano Ronaldo says Arsenal playmaker

Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has stated that he is not hungry to score goals in the way the Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is.

The 27-year-old instead revealed that providing assists are as important to him as scoring a goal.

“Personally, I am not as hungry for goals like Ronaldo. But that’s only normal. He is an attacker,” Ozil told L’Equipe.

“For me, scoring goals and providing assists is the same. They both win you matches.”

Both Ozil and Ronaldo – who were teammates at Real Madrid – are both competing in this summers Euro 2016 tournament. The Portugal international has two goals in four games and awaits Wales in the Semi finals.

Ozil is once again expected to start tonight when Germany take on Italy in the quarter finals. The 27-year-old has stated all four games so far and provided an assist for his sides second goal against the Ukraine in their opening game.
