Inter pull out of race to sign Everton target

Inter Milan have pulled out of the race to sign Fenerbahce full-back Caner Erkin according to the Express.

The Italian giants had been closed linked with a move for the Turkish international and were even reported to have signed a pre-agreement.

Everton are also reported to be interested in Erkin as are rivals Liverpool and according to Mundo Deportivo both clubs are in talks.

The Toffees were reported to have sent scouts to the Turkey v Austria game in which Erkin started for the Crescent-Stars.

Everton were joined by Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen, Juventus, Cologne, Inter Milan, Stoke City, Schalke, Sunderland, Mönchengladbach, Bayern Munich, Olympique Marseille, Stuttgart, Leicester and Leverkusen will all send scouts to watch the game at the Happel Stadium according to the official Salzburg website.

Erkin started in the 2-1 victory over Austria as Turkey extended their unbeaten run to 13 games in all competitions.

The 27-year-old also started in the 2-1 win over Sweden at the Antalya Arena stadium last weekend.
