Inter wanted Caner Erkin this summer says agent [divider]
Inter Milan wanted Fenerbahçe left-back Caner Erkin this summer according to football agent Batur Altıparmak.
“Inter wanted Caner, we were in talks but they were waiting for a foreign space to open up in their team,” Altıparmak told Radyospor.
“We were also in talks with Fenerbahçe at the time so decided to stay at the club and extend his contract.
“There were also a few Premier League sides interested but Caner did not want to join them because they were teams expected to struggle this season.
“Personally I wanted him to go to England and prove himself abroad but it did not work out.”
Erkin had 14 assists and three goals in 30 Süper Lig appearances last season.
The Turkish international has three assists in 13 league games this season.
