Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly quizzed West Ham boss Slaven Bilic about Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup according to Talksport.

Per the source, Mourinho is keen on the Besiktas midfielder and consulted Bilic about the players qualities.

Bilic is of course no stranger to Ozyakup after coaching the Turkish international midfielder for two-seasons during his time in charge of Besiktas.

The former Besiktas head coach has already brought one player over from his former club in Gokhan Tore and was reported to also be keen on Ozyakup.

Ozyakup is also familiar with the Premier League having risen through the ranks of Arsenal as a youth before making his move to Turkey in 2012 in pursuit of first-team football.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Besiktas team over the past four seasons culminating with playing a major role in winning the league title last season.

The Daily Star report states that the Red Devils are preparing a £20 million move for Ozyakup which would match Besiktas’ valuation.

Ozyakup scored 10 times and setup eight goals for the Super Lig champions in all competitions for the Istanbul giants last season.
