Juventus contemplate improved offer for Wesley Sneijder

“It’s nearly impossible to bring Sneijder to Turin, I can’t see it happening,” Albers was reported as saying by Tuttosport.

“The Galatasaray officials have been perfectly clear with me. He would have been happy to return to Italy but only if the club had wanted to sell.”

Albers had been trying to broker a deal but talks fell through after Juventus failed to meet Galatasaray’s valuation.

Sneijder has experience playing in Italy, the 30-year-old helped Inter secure a historic treble winning season for the Italian giants – winning the Serie A, Copa Italia and Champions League titles.

The Lions value the Netherlands international at €20 million and he still has two-years left on his contract.

Sneijder has also been closely linked with a move to Manchester United but an official bid has yet to be made.

The 30-year-old joined Galatasaray from Inter in 2013 for €8 million.

The former Inter star lead Galatasaray to Turkish Cup glory last season and played an important role in Galatasaray reaching the Champions League quarter-finals.

Sniejder has scored four goals in 22 appearances for Galatasaray this season including two against Fenerbahce in the intercontinental derby.
