Beşiktaş midfielder Veli Kavlak believes that the new Vodafone Arena stadium will be one of the greatest stadiums in the world when completed.
“It will be one of the greatest stadiums in the world,” Kavlak told Beşiktaş magazine.
“Everybody is looking forward to playing there, the players and the fans want to experience the new stadium.
“It really is an impressive project and is going to really benefit the club, it is just a case of being patient and waiting now.”
The İnonü is currently being rebuilt, the new Vodafone arena will be a state of the art, 41,903 seater stadium.
Kavlak also described Beşiktaş fans as being among the most vocal he has ever experienced.
“When we play for the Austrian national team over 50,000 fans turn up to the home games,” Kavlak said.
“There was only 10,000 fans at the Başakşehir stadium in one of our recent games but the noise sounded more like 80,000 supporters.
“I do not think there are a more crazy and more passionate set of fans than what we have in Turkey, they are simply amazing.”
