Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp believes Mesut Özil has been a a big miss for Arsenal.

“Mesut Özil – nobody wants him when he plays, everybody needs him when he doesn’t play,” Klopp said.

“I don’t know about Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud.”

Arsenal will be without Özil when they face Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Group D on Wednesday 26 November.

Arsene Wenger will also be without Olivier Giroud while Laurent Koscielny is also  doubt with a calf strain.

Lukas Podolski also revealed that he believes Arsenal are missing Özil.

“Mesut Özil can’t help us now because he is injured. When he comes back he can help us because he is a great player. We have start winning games now,” Podolski said.

Özil has been ruled out with injury until the new year.

The 26-year-old joined Arsenal last year for a club record fee of £42.5m and won the FA Cup in his first season.
