Konyaspor terminate the former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Hleb’s contract

Konyaspor have parted company with Aliaksandr Hleb after agreeing to terminate the c Belarus internationals contract.

The 33-year-old has fallen out of favour with Konyaspor’s manager Aykut Kocaman and has been left out of the squad in recent weeks.

The Anatolian Eagles confirmed the news via a statement on their official website where they thanked Hleb for his contributions to the club.

Konyaspor have revised their squad following an inconsistent first half of the season. Vid Belec have already left while May Mahlangu and Mário Felgueiras have been signed. Konyaspor are also understood be be on the verge of signing a foreign striker.

Konyaspor reveal transfer targets

Hleb joined Konyaspor from BATE Borisov in January 2014. The Belarus international spent three seasons at Arsenal and also had a spell at Barcelona.

The attacking midfielder has made 15 appearances for Konyaspor this season.

Konyaspor are currently 11th in the Turkish Super League with 20 points in 18 games and take on Balıkesirspor this weekend.
