Tayfun Korkut has guided Hannover 96 to their best start to the league in 10 years.

Three consecutive wins have seen the Reds rise to fourth in the Bundesliga and record their highest point tally after 11 matchdays in a decade.

Korkut’s side managed to win all three games without conceding a single goal and the former Turkish international has also improved Hannover’s away form.

Hannover had lost 10 away games on the spin before the 40-year-old took over last winter. The Bundesliga outfit already have two away wins to their name this season.

Korkut has done a stellar job since taking over at Hannover, few expected the Bundesliga outfit to do well this season in fact they were considered prime relegation candidates.

The 40-year-old coach became the first Turkish international to take over a Bundesliga club when he was appointed Hannover manager last season.

It is the first senior coaching job for the former Fenerbahçe midfielder who previously worked as a youth team coach at Real Sociedad, Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart.
