Emre Can has stated that Liverpool will use the Capital One Cup final’s disappointment as a motivation for the clash with Sevilla.
Liverpool were defeated in the league cup final at the hands of Manchester City.
Can believes that the emotions felt in the aftermath of that defeat can be used to the Reds’ advantage tonight.
“It was very, very disappointing to lose that final,” Emre can told Liverpool’s official website.
“But I think we can use it as a team on Wednesday. It doesn’t feel good when you lose the final – and so obviously that’s why we want to win this final.
“We’ve played very well in the last few months. We have a very, very strong squad and next year we will go again and our target is to win [more] titles.”
Can is expected to start in tonights clash with Sevilla after being rested for Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with West Brom over the weekend
The former Bayer Leverkusen man has yet to win any silverware with Liverpool but has the chance to do so when his side take on Sevilla in the Europa League final.
Liverpool would book a place in the Champions League next season if they manage to win the trophy.
