Leicester City have agreed a €4 million free for Napoli star Gokhan Inler according to Sky Sports.
The Foxes newly appointed manager Claudio Ranieri revealed earlier this week that he was close to securing a replacement for Esteban Cambiasso.
Cambiasso recently confirmed that he will leave Leicester according to the BBC. The former Argentinian international released a statement saying that he will not renew his current deal with the Foxes.
The statement read: “I have decided not to renew my contract with Leicester City.
Cambiasso scored one goal and provided five assists in 33 appearances for Leicester last season. The 34-year-old joined Leicester City on a free transfer from Inter Milan last summer.
Leicester have also been closely linked with a €12 million move for the Chilean international Charles Aranguiz.
Inler scored one goal in 33 appearances for Napoli in all competitions last season.
Leicester pulled off the ‘great-escape’ last season to beat the drop. The foxes ended the season in 14th place with 41 points.
