Liverpool U21 suffered a 3-1 loss against Leicester City U21 at the King Power stadium on Monday night.
Joe Dodoo put the home side ahead early on and Tom Lawrence doubled their lead to give Leicester a 2-0 lead going into the half time break.
Harry Wilson who returned from suspension pulled one back for Liverpool but Dodoo hit the back of the net again to make it 3-1 at the final whistle.
Samed Yeşil played for the last 20 minutes coming on for Canos but he was unable to change around the fortunes of the away side.
Yeşil made his second consecutive performance for the Reds since recovering from injury.
The 20-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in a year in January 2014 and has only recently recovered.
Yeşil also made a brief appearance in the 2-1 defeat against Fulham U21 last week.
