Liverpool 1 – 0 Augsburg – Emre Can plays full 90 minutes in home victory

Emre Can played the full 90 minutes during Liverpool victory over Augsburg in the Europa League.

The Red’s advanced to the next round after defeating the German side by a 1-0 scoreline. James Milner scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot in the fifth minute.

Can was deployed in central midfield alongside Milner and club captain Jordan Henderson.

Augsburg was founded over 100 years ago but did not play in the Bundesliga until 2011. This was the Bundesliga sides first season in European competition.

Can has provided one assist and scored two goals in 34 appearances for Liverpool this season.
