The Red’s boss Jurgen Klopp decided to rest Emre Can after he returned ahead of schedule to star in his sides win over Villarreal on Thursday.
Can was initially ruled out for the rest of the season following an injury he sustained last month and was a surprise inclusion in Klopp’s starting line-up earlier this week,
The 22-year-old has three assists and two goals in 47 appearances for Liverpool this season.
Liverpool take on Sevilla in the Europa League final against Sevilla on May 18 at St Jakob’s park in Switzerland.
