Liverpool star Emre Can has revealed that his teammates have full faith in their new manager Jurgen Klopp and his footballing philosophy.

The 21-year-old also stated that playing under the stewardship of the former Borussia Dortmund manager can also be fun at times.

“After a difficult start to the season many players had doubts,” Can told Spox.

“Klopp has eliminated those doubts and showed us how we can play good, successful football, which can also be fun at the same time. The team believe in him and his way.”

Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager in October and the Reds have managed to close the gap with Premier League leaders Manchester City to just six points after an impressive run of results including a 4-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad.

Can has featured as a central midfielder under the command of Klopp as opposed to playing predominantly as a defender and a right back under Rogers.

The Germany international of Turkish origin has one goal in 20 appearances for the Reds in all competitions this season.

Can started against Southampton in the League Cup tonight and provided an assist in the 6-1 victory over the Saints.
