The 22-year-old branded reports linking the German managers training methods as a cause to the injuries as ‘nonsense’.

“People say Jürgen Klopp training us too hard is the reason we have so many injuries. We’re not. It’s nonsense,” Can told the Times (via independent)

At the start of this month Liverpool had five players out with hamstring problems, with Dejan Lovren, Philippe Coutinho, Jordon Ibe, Martin Skrtel and Jordan Rossiter all sidelined.

Can played in midfield once again alongside Lucas Leiva and Jordan Henderson. The Germany international has been a constant feature in the Red’s starting line-up since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool dropped down to ninth place following todays defeat while united moved up into fifth place, two points behind Tottenham.
