Liverpool icon John Aldridge has stated that Liverpool could be in for an exciting end to the season if Emre Can continues his progression.

Can has played the last seven games in defence despite his strongest position being in central midfield.

“We’re seven unbeaten in all competitions now, and we’ve won four on the spin away from home,” Aldridge was quoted as saying on the official Liverpool website.

“We’re not perfect, but that’s improvement, no question. And if Markovic and Can can continue their own progression, we could be in for an exciting end to the season.”
