Emre Can has posted an image on Instagram alongside his teammate Samed Yeşil upon his return to pre-season training.
The 21-year-old included the caption alongside the image, “Great to be back at Liverpool.
Looking forward to the Season ahead.”
Can was given extended leave due to his international commitments over the summer. The 21-year-old featured in Germany u21’s European Championship campaign in the Czech Republic.
Samed Yeşil scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season and could break into the first team this season. The 21-year-old who scored twice during the Red’s 6-0 win over Wateford United coming off the bench to double Liverpool’s lead over the Irish side.
Can is expected to play in midfield for Liverpool this season following the departure of Gerrard to the MLS side LA Galaxy.
The Germany u21 international made a total of 27 appearances for the Premier League outfit last season and also featured in the FA Cup and Europa League.
