Liverpool succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of their bitter rivals Manchester United in the Premier League yesterday afternoon.
Emre Can played the full 90 minutes for the second time in a row for the Red’s this season. The Germany international has found his chance in Liverpool’s starting eleven due to Jordan Henderson’s injury.
The 21-year-old received a rating of 6.32 from whoscored. The former Bayern Munich man made just one tackle, one interception and no clearances over the duration of the game.
Can started his second consecutive game for the Germany national team – against Scotland at right-back earlier this week. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has however spent this season in his favoured midfield position for Liverpool.
The 21-year-old joined the Reds on a £9.75 million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
Following the final whistle we took to Twitter to see how Can’s latest performance went down on social media. Read a selection of what we found below:
Emre Can is a baller and needs better quality around him.

Only Emre Can and Benteke can come away with some sort of self-respect today, Ibe also looked sharp when he came on

How many marauding runs does Emre Can go on…….none of which result in anything whatsoever. Wow looks good but actually achieves nothing!
