Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been impressing his fans with his defensive qualities over the past few months but his recent guest appearance in HitThatBall’s crossbar challenge gave him a chance to showcase the technical side of his game.
Can was challenged to a best of four bout against the stars of the Youtube channel over who would be able to hit the bar the highest number of times.
The HitThatBall representative managed to hit the crossbar once but Can stole the limelight, hitting the bar in three out of his four attempts.
Can has averaged 42 passes per-game in the league at an 83 percent accuracy and makes 2.7 long balls per-match according to Whoscored.
The 21-year-old joined Liverpool as a central midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but has played much of the season as a key member of Brendan Rodgers three-man defence.
Liverpool have not lost a Premier League game in which Can has started in defence this season.
