Liverpool FC’s Emre Can & Turkey stars vie for EURO 2016 young player prize

Liverpool star Emre Can is among the players eligible for the Euro 2016 young player of the tournament award presented by Socar.

Can is one of two players born in Germany of Turkish origin to be on the list with the other being Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Bayer playmaker represents Turkey at international level as does Denmark born Emre Mor who earned a five-year move to Borussia Dortmund today.

The other Turkish entries are 21-year-old Ozan Tufan and 20-year-old Ahmet Calik.

The UEFA award is open to all players born on or after 1 January 1994 and the winner will be selected by the UEFA technical observers, who will attend every match at UEFA EURO 2016.
