Liverpool interested in Galatasaray target Chicarito

Liverpool are preparing a shock move for Manchester United’s out-of-favour striker Javier Hernandez according to Talksport.

The Red’s are on the hunt for a new striker as they look to offload Mario Balotelli this summer.

Liverpool will however face competition from Galatasaray who are in talks with Hernandez’s according to his agent Marijo Knez.

“Galatasaray’s interest [in Chicharito] continues,” Knez told Radyospor.

“Galatasaray are a huge club, they are one of our options in Turkey.”

The Istanbul giants manager Hamza Hamzaoglu recently confirmed that Galatasaray are on the hunt for a new striker.

The United striker has also been linked with a move to Besiktas and to the MLS side Orlando City.

Hernandez spent last season on loan at La Liga giants Real Madrid after falling out of favour with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.

The former Chivas striker’s future is unclear following a broken collarbone which will rule him out of the Gold Cup. The injury is expected to keep the Hernandez out of pre-season training for another three weeks.

Galatasaray booked a place in the Champions League group stages for the fourth consecutive season in the process.
