Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has revealed that two moments he will never forget are winning the 2005 Champions League in Istanbul and the infamous slip against Chelsea that allowed Demba Ba in on goal to score in the 2013-14 title race.
“I have had two really unforgettable moments, one was winning the 2005 Champions League in Istanbul and the other was the moment where I lost the ball against Chelsea which Demba Ba went onto score from,” Gerrard told Fanatik.
Gerrard played his last Liverpool game on the weekend losing 6-1 against Stoke City.
The experienced midfielder played a key role in the Reds winning the Champions League trophy in Istanbul.
The Reds came from behind against AC Milan to record one of the greatest Champions League final comebacks to lift the trophy in 2005.
Gerrard also featured in the 2006-07 Champions League final, was runner up in the 2008-09 Premier League title race as well as the 2013-14 championship race.
The Liverpool captain is expected to move to the MLS in the summer after spending his entire career at the Reds.
