Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher sung the praises of Emre Can on the Sky Sports show Monday Night Football praising the 21-year-old for his back-heel which led to the third goal.
Can split the City defence in half with a clever back-heel that found Coutinho who setup Firminho inside the box for a simple tap in.
“The back-heel from Emre Can was exquisite,” Carragher said speaking on Sky Sports.
As you can see it really was a pretty audacious back-heel from the midfielder-come-defender in what turned out to be a memorable 4-1 victory over City at the Etihad.
Can has one goal in 18 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions and has played in his preferred central midfield role since the appointment on Jurgen Klopp who replaced Brendan Rodgers last month.
The victory saw Liverpool move up into ninth place on 20 points just six behind third placed City.
The Reds take on Bordeaux next at Anfield in the Europa League on Thursday. Liverpool are currently second in Group B two points behind leaders Sion.
