Liverpool legend John Aldridge admitted that Beşiktaş fans were the loudest he has heard at Anfield following the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg.

The Reds won the first game 1-0 thanks to a late penalty from Mario Balotelli and travel to Istanbul next to take on the Black Eagles at the Atatürk Olympic.

“I think the Besiktas fans were the loudest I’ve heard at Anfield. I’ve played quite a few games in Turkey so I know what it will be like against Besiktas on Thursday,” Aldridge was quoted as saying on the official Liverpool website.

“It will be volatile and the referee and the players are going to have to deal with that.”
