Liverpool & Man Utd target Ilkay Gundogan stars in 4-1 win

Ilkay Gündoğan was one of the stars of the show during Borussia Dortmund’s 4-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on the weekend.

The 25-year-old received a rating of 7.4 from WhoScored and played as the deep-lying playmaker in Dortmund’s 4-3-3 formation.

Gündoğan showed his defensive aspects with two interceptions and two successful tackles. The Germany international also made 160 passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 89%.

The Germany international has been linked with a move to Liverpool since the appointment of Klopp.

Dortmund rejected a bid from Manchester United earlier on in the season according to the German newspaper Express.

Gündoğan has 18 months remaining on his contract with Dortmund and signed a contract extension with the club over the summer.

The Bundesliga giants sit in second place in the league with 38 points in 16 games. Gündoğan has provided five assists and scored two goals in 26 appearances for Dortmund this season.
