Liverpool midfielder Emre Can completes highest number of passes against Norwich

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Norwich City in the Premier League.

The Reds would have propelled themselves into joint third-place with a victory but instead only moved one position up the league table into 13th place on eight points.

Liverpool youngster Emre Can started the game in central midfield and as is to be expected from the 21-year-old he worked hard making a number of important tackles, interceptions and clearances.

Can also demonstrated that his 90 percent pass accuracy against Bordeaux in the Europa League midweek was not just a one off as he completed the highest number of passes against Norwich (80) with an 82.5 percent completion rate.

The Reds drew 1-1 with Bordeaux in their first Europa League group stage game last Thursday.

The 21-year-old has made seven appearances in all competitions for the Reds this season playing predominantly in a central midfield role.

Liverpool take on Carlisle in the Carling Cup next on Wednesday 23 September.
