Liverpool are monitoring Arda Turan’s situation closely as Atletico Madrid prepare to offload the Turkish international in the summer according the Express.
Atletico are understood to be preparing a move for Arsenal’s Santi Carzola and will part ways with Arda if the they can agree a deal with the Gunners.
The report goes onto state that Arda is unhappy at the Vicente Calderon and wants a move away from the club this summer.
The 28-year-old was previously a target for the Reds and has revealed that he would love to ply his trade on Merseyside.
“I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool,” Turan stated.
The Turkish international has a contract with Atleti until 2017 and a €40 million release clause.
Arda has lifted the La Liga, Copa Del Rey, Europa League, European Super Cup and reached the Champions League at Atleti.
