Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is unlikely to join Real Sociedad on loan in January, according to Talksport.
David Moyes was reported to have made an enquiry for Can who has struggled for playing time since joining the Reds on a £9.75m from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
The 20-year-old midfielder has only made 11 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this season.
Can has completed 90 minutes just twice in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has however, played Can in the last three games and recently praised the young midfielder.
“Can coming on gave us that assurance in possession and also physicality when we didn’t have the ball,” Rodgers told the official Liverpool website.
“He’s a player I know can play in a number of positions and play them well. He’s someone whose influence will become greater as the season goes on.”
