Liverpool star Emre Can & Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil set to start against Italy – Probable Line-ups

Arsenal team news

Germany will be hoping to recover from their shock 3-2 defeat against England on Saturday with a victory over rivals Italy tonight at the Allianz Arena.

The German side have not won against Italy at a major tournament and have won just seven times in the 32 meetings between the two sides – all coming in friendlies.

Germany boss Joachim Low will be without Jerome Boateng, who is injured and Mats Hummels is a doubt.

One bright note from Germany’s loss against England was the return of Mario Gomez who scored his first international goal since 2012.

The Besiktas star has been in great form for his club and put on an impressive display against the Three Lions on Saturday.

Gomez is expected to keep his place in the side as is Arsenal star Mesut Ozil who provided an assist.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can may get another start but it will probably be as a full-back once again as Low has yet to utilise him as a midfielder.
