Liverpool star Emre Can completed most passes in Premier League over weekend

Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw against Sunderland on the weekend despite taking a two-goal lead against the Premier League strugglers.

Reds star Emre Can started against the Black Cats and managed to complete the highest number of passes over the weekend.

The 21-year-old pulled off an impressed 117 passes at 87 percent accuracy which was more than any other Premier League player by quite a distance.

 

Can made predominantly short passes but also pulled off seven accurate long balls and a key pass.

The Germany international of Turkish origin also worked hard defensively making the highest number of tackles (5) and the highest number of interceptions (2).

Can has scored one goal in 30 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this season. The young midfielder managed to keep his place in the first-team following Jurgen Klopp replacing Brendan Rodgers and now plays in his preferred central midfield role.

Liverpool ended the week in ninth place on 35 points following the Sunderland draw.
