Liverpool star Emre Can played a starring role in his sides incredible comeback against German giants Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarter-final second-leg tie at Anfield last night.

Can provided the assist for Origi that kick started the Reds into action just after the half time break but his defensive input was equally as impressive.

The 22-year-old won an impressive five tackles against Dortmund – the highest figure in the game. Can has now won 27 tackles in the Europa League which is more than any other player.

Can had an influential role over the course of the game making the highest number of passes (74) at an 83 percent accuracy.

The Germany international of Turkish origin did suffer an injury blow towards the end of the game and was forced to come off. The severity of his injury is currently unknown.

The Reds will take on La Liga outfit Villarreal in the semi-final of the Europa League after they eliminated Sparta Prague from the tournament.
