Liverpool’s Emre Can has taken in Instagram to heap praise on Philippe Coutinho for his stunning goal in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Stoke City.
The Brazilian international scored the one games only goal in the 86th minute to earn the Red’s all three points in a close encounter.
Can posted a picture of himself along with the caption, “Good win today. Keep it up and congratulation to the magician @phil.coutinho to the great goal.”
Emre Can came on as a substitute in the second half and was played in his favoured midfield position. The 21-year-old played the majority of last season at centre back and at right back.
Liverpool were defeated by a 6-1 scoreline at the hands of Stoke City in the final game of last season.
The Red’s did not have the best record at the Britannia. The Reds had won just two of their last seven away games against Stoke in all competitions until today.
Summer signings Benteke, Milner and Clyne all made their Liverpool debuts today. Liverpool take on Bournemouth next weekend at Anfield.
