Can was a surprise inclusion in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up following an injury he sustained during the Red’s win over Dortmund.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star was initially expected to miss the rest of Liverpool’s season.
Liverpool have secured their place in the final where they will take on last season’s champions Sevilla. The La Liga side have won the competition back to back in the last two seasons.
Can has three assists and two goals in 47 appearances for Liverpool this season. The Germany international is expected to be rested when Liverpool take on Watford in the Europa League this weekend.
