Liverpool star Emre Can included in Germany's starting line-up

Liverpool’s star midfielder Emre Can has been included in Germany’s starting line-up tonight. Joachim Low’s side take on the host’s France in the semi final’s of Euro 2016.

The 22-year-old will smake his tournament debut following the injury to Sami Khedira however. Germany boss Low was expected to field Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger instead however, the experinced midfielder has failed a late fitness test.

Germany are unbeaten in the competition having recorded four wins and a draw to reach  the last four. France are also unbeaten in the competition and put five past Iceland in the quarter finals.

Can is one of eight Germany born ethnic Turks in the tournament. Mesut Ozil is the other Germany international of Turkish origin while Turkey has six Germany born players.
