Liverpool star Emre Can raring to go ahead of new season

Liverpool news: Emre Can Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool’s Emre Can has signalled that he is raring to go ahead of his sides opening game in the Premier League against Stoke City.

The Reds were thrashed 6-1 by Stoke City in their final game of the season and will be looking to make amends this time around.

The 21-year-old is coming off the back of an impressive display at the 2015 U21 European Championships in the Czech Republic earlier this summer.

“I’m always fully-motivated for every game, and the start of the season especially so,” Can told Liverpoolfc.com.

Stoke City ended last season in ninth place with 54 points while Liverpool finished their disappointing season in sixth with 62 points. Liverpool have lost at the Britannia stadium against Stoke in their last three encounters.

Can will be hoping to move into central midfield this season after spending the last league campaign as a makeshift defender in Rodgers back-three and to a lesser extent a right-back.

The Germany u21 international made a total of 27 appearances for Liverpool last season and also featured in the FA Cup and Europa League.
