Liverpool star Emre Can retires from football to pursue modelling career

Liverpool star Emre Can announced that he has retired from football in order to pursue a career in modelling.

The move came as a shock but Can reportedly told the Liverpool board that he has struggled with the physical demands of Premier League football.

Sources close to Can revealed that the 22-year-old has already been offered a multi-million contract to model for Giorgio Armani and that he has always been interested in being a male model.

Can has been one of the Reds stand out performers this season but he also attracted the interest of modelling agencies after successful photo shoots with Jack Wolfskin, Nike and his own personnel portfolio which he regularly updates via Instagram.

There were emotional scenes as Can said his final farewell to his Liverpool teammates at Melwood today.

Can had established himself as a first-team player at Liverpool under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp this season and was called up to the Germany national team against England and Italy last week.
