Emre Can has stated that he wants to beat Sevilla in the Europa league final tonight and qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.

The 22-year-old did however reiterate that his sole focus is on tonights game.

“Sevilla know how to play in the Europa League. They’ve won the last two Europa League titles, and so it will be a very tough game, but if we show what we are able to do as a team then we can win the final,” Emre can told Liverpool’s official website.

“I think it’s very important and we want to play next year in the Champions League, but the first thing is that we want to win the final.”

Tonight’s final will be Can’s first European competition final that he has made an appearance in if Jurgen Klopp does indeed start him. The former Bayer Leverkusen man is expected to be included in the starting line-up after being rested over the weekend.

Can also starred on Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final second leg.
