Ilkay Gundogan has stated that he is relaxed about making a decision regarding his Borussia Dortmund future.

The Germany international signed a one year contract extension with Dortmund in the summer keeping him at the Bundesliga team until July 2017.

Gundogan, who once again must opt to leave or sign a new contract extension told Sky Sport Germany that he is “actually relaxed about this” as he mulls his options.

“There will be decision at one point, but it depends on various factors. Time will bring a decision, which hopefully will be very fair for everyone involved.

“We have nothing to hide, and we’ll announce something when we have something to announce.”

Gundogan has been linked with a move to Liverpool since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

The pair worked together at Dortmund where together they won the Bundesliga and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League.

The midfield playmaker has six assists and three goals in 29 appearances for Liverpool this season.
