Liverpool U21 4 – 4 Norwich City – Samed Yesil features in high scoring draw

Liverpool U21s and Norwich City played out a high scoring 4-4 draw at Anfield on Monday night. The Reds who were playing their last game league game of the season, were up 3-0 at half-time thanks to efforts from Jordan Williams, Ryan Kent and Cameron Brannagan

Norwich fired there way back into the game in the second half, scoring three goals in ten minutes bringing the score to 3-3 in the 69th minute.

Sheyi Ojo’s looked to give his side the victory with his penalty at the Kop-end making it it 4-3 however, Norwich U21’s Josh Murphy completed his hat-trick to earn the Canaries a point on the night.

Samed Yesil man played 65 minutes of the game tonight. The former Leverkusen striker only recently recovered from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines.

Yeşil now has three goals and one assist in 11 U21 appearances for the Reds this season.
