Liverpool take on Carlisle in the Carling Cup at Anfield having never lost to their lower-league opposition in eight meetings.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is expected to make a number of changes to the side that drew 1-1 against Norwich on the weekend in the Premier league.
Rodgers will be without Cristian Benteke who has a hamstring problem and that could allow Divock Origi to make an impression upfront. The Belgium striker has struggled for playing time this season and has been linked with a winter loan move.
Emre Can is one of the few first-team players that may get to start against Carlisle as he continues to adapt to the Liverpool central midfield.
Summer signings Firminho and Ings may also get to start in the cup game.
