Liverpool take on Sion at Anfield in the second of their Europa League group stage campaign.
The Reds drew their opening Group B game 1-1 against Bordeaux in France while Sion managed to beat Rubin Kazan 2-1 at home.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers could be forced to rotate his side with a key Premier League game against rivals Manchester United looming.
Rodgers is however, expected to deploy Emre Can in midfield. The 21-year-old has been one the Reds head coaches most trusted players this season being played in both defence and midfield.
The last time these two sides met was back in the 1996 UEFA Cup Winners Cup with the Reds winning 8-4 on aggregate over the two legs.
