Emre Can is set to start in Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland in the Premier League today.

Liverpool currently find themselves in eight place with 34 points in 24 games.

Can is expected to start in Liverpool’s three-man midfield alongside Lucas Leiva and club captain Jordan Henderson. The Germany international has cemented his place in the Red’s midfield since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from their mid-week defeat at the hands of league leaders Leicester City.

The 21-year-old played 75 minutes during Liverpool’s defeat to the Foxes before being taken off for Joe Allen.

Liverpool can move up to seventh place with a victory against Sunderland however, could slip down to 12th place if they suffer a defeat at home.
