Liverpool were Europa League favourites says Bilic [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic revealed that Liverpool were the favourites to win the Europa League going into the Round of 32.
The Black Eagles knocked the Reds out of the competition on penalties at the Atatürk Olympic stadium 10 years after Liverpool beat AC Milan in the Champions League final in a penalty shoot out.
“Liverpool were the favourites for the Europa League, of course there are no easy teams in the Last 16,” Bilic was quoted as saying by ESPN.
“If you ask what we have a bigger chance to win it is the Turkish league.”

The bookmakers now consider Napoli favourites to win the competition at odds ranging between 5.00-7.00.
The Black Eagles are priced at odds between 12.00-16.00 to win the Europa League.
Beşiktaş maintained their unbeaten home record against Premier League opposition in European competition following the win.
The Turkish giants held Arsenal to a goalless draw in the Champions League playoffs and beat Tottenham 1-0 in the Europa League group stages.
The Eagles will face Club Brugge of Belgium in the Europa League Last 16 next.
Beşiktaş are currently second in the Süper Lig, just one point behind league leaders Galatasaray and face last placed Balıkesirspor next.
