Liverpool will do better next season says Emre Can

Liverpool youngster Emre Can has promised the fans that the Reds will be a much improved side next season.

The Reds crashed out of the Champions League in the group stages and were eliminated from the Europa League by Istanbul giants Beşiktaş in the Round of 32.

Liverpool were also knocked out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stages and finished the league campaign in sixth place.

“We did not have the best of seasons we finished sixth despite some good performances we will do better next season the fans deserve it,” Can told Fanatik.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is expected to make sweeping changes next season however, Can is expected to keep his place in the team.

The 21-year-old featured mainly as a defender as part of a back-three and as a right-back over the league campaign.

The Liverpool youngster is however, expected to feature as a central midfielder next season with Steven Gerrard leaving for the MLS.

Can joined the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and made a total of 40 appearances in his debut season for Liverpool.
