Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge revealed that Demba Ba will pose a goal scoring threat but underlined that the Reds will not change their playing style against Beşiktaş in the Europa League Round of 32.
“He’s got a good goalscoring record in England from his history here,” Sturridge was quoted as saying on the official Liverpool website.
“He’s obviously a player who can score goals.
“But we’re not trying to pay too much attention to individuals. We’re going out there to do our jobs, play the Liverpool way, enjoy the game and that’s the most important thing to us.”
Former Chelsea striker Ba ended Liverpool’s 11-game win streak last season when he scored in the Blues 2-0 win over the Reds.
The Senegalese international has hit the ground running since joining Beşiktaş from Chelsea in the summer.
Ba has already eclipsed his previous record for goals scored in a single season (19) and has hit the back of the net 22 times in all competitions this season.
The in form striker has played a major role in the Black Eagles current position as Süper Lig leaders.
The powerful striker is currently the joint leading goal scorer in the Süper Lig with 13 goals – only Fernandao has scored as many goals in the league this season.
